REP SCENE
The Inaugural State of Origin held on the 12th of May 2007 at Coffs Harbour was a huge success. North Brisbane had a large contingency of players representing Queensland on the day and held their own in some fast, exciting, and at times, physical encounters with the New South Wales teams.
Bill Harrigan, CEO said " The feedback was fantastic, with everybody pleased with the concept, especially the Queenslanders who were very impressed with the venue and look forward to future State of Origin events."
NSW dominated 7 of the 8 divisions. However some results were close. QLD 40s and 45s went in to deciders with QLD winning the over 40s. This gave the QLD squad great reason to celebrate well into Saturday night.
NSW had the edge as they had played together right through their State Cup. QLD vow to be bigger and better next year!
